Costa Blanca SEO: a 10-step checklist for local businesses

13 October 2026

Most small businesses on the Costa Blanca are invisible on Google not because SEO is hard, but because a few basics are missing. Here is the checklist we use for every client.

1. A complete Google Business Profile

Correct category, opening hours, photos and a description in English and Spanish. This is what puts you on Google Maps.

2. Reviews, every week

Ask happy customers in person and reply to every review in the language it was written.

3. One page per service and per town

A page for "web design Jávea" and another for "SEO Jávea" ranks far better than one page trying to do everything.

4. Titles people want to click

Put the service and the town first, and give a reason to click — a free quote, a local team, a price.

5. Real multilingual pages

Spanish, English and, for many towns, Dutch or German — written properly, with hreflang tags.

6. Fast on mobile

Most local searches happen on a phone. Compress images and keep pages light.

7. Consistent name, address and phone

Use exactly the same details on your site, Google and every directory.

8. Local links

Links from local news, associations, suppliers and partner businesses are worth more than hundreds of generic ones.

9. Helpful articles

Answer the questions customers ask you every week — prices, timings, how it works.

10. Measure it

Connect Google Search Console and check calls and clicks monthly.
